2011 CHG Open House
Beautiful weather and a fascinating array of exhibits, demonstrations, and attractions brought a large and enthusiastic crowd to the 2011 CHG Open House on February 13. Turn out for the event was tremendous; 80 visitors signed the guest register. Our open house was featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution print edition, in AccessAtlanta as one of the “Top 5 Things To Do This Coming Weekend,” and on WABE City Cafe.
Visitors were treated to demonstrations of a variety of fiber arts, exhibits of many of the beautiful creations of CHG members, and a yummy assortment of snacks and refreshments. Many lucky visitors brought home door prizes generously donated by weaving vendors and others in the community
The success of the Open House went beyond sharing our interest in fiber arts with the community – 10 new members joined the guild at the Open House!
